Fran retired from the TSO in 2017.

Fran has been a violinist with the Tucson Symphony since 1982.  She was orchestra director of Rincon/University High School for twenty-three years until her recent retirement.  Since that time she has been involved as a teaching artist with the OMA program as well as the University of Arizona as adjunct instructor in the music education department.  Her activities also include playing percussion with the Arizona Symphonic Winds, string coach and assistant conductor for the Foothills Phil Intergenerational Orchestra and both violinist and librarian for the Tucson Pops Orchestra.  She is in demand state wide as a string clinician and adjudicator.

Her honors include being named the 2005 Arizona Orchestra Public School Teacher of the Year and the O.M. Hartsell Excellence in Teaching Award.  She shares her musical endeavors with her husband, Laszlo.
