Mozart’s Magical Baton

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is an aspiring young composer beginning to make his mark on music history. On his birthday, his father gives him a very special gift – a new baton. The young composer heads out to his rehearsal and is amazed to find that his new baton is actually magical! At the wave of his baton, Mozart and the orchestra members are transported to new destinations and musical genera as the audience hear music from Mozart’s own Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, to Arturo Marquez’s Conga del Fuego Nuevo and an orchestral rendition of a song about a certain baby shark!

Testimonials

I am grateful for the Young People’s Concerts. The kids don’t always know what a gift it is to attend, but the concerts are always well done, and many students would not have this opportunity if it were not offered to schools.

— Teacher, Wilson K-8 School

This was a terrific experience. The way the concert was presented was perfect for the age group and was entertaining and educational.
