Andrew Braden has been the second and E-flat clarinetist in the Tucson Symphony Orchestra since 1987. He first performed with an orchestra at age 16with the Detroit Youth Symphony. After moving to Kansas City he attended Kansas University and served as principal clarinetwith the Lawrence Symphony, the Lawrence Chamber Players, the Kansas City Civic Orchestra, and the St. Joseph (Missouri) Symphony.

He was on the faculty of the Midwest Band Camp in Lawrence, Kansas for 12 years where he conducted bands, led woodwind sectionals, gave clarinet master classes and private lessons and performed on faculty recitals. In 1996 Mr. Braden performed as principal clarinet with the Arizona Opera in their presentation of four Richard Wagner operas, known as The Ring. His woodwind trio was on the roster of the Arizona Commission on the Arts for many years and has performed all over Southern Arizona and Mexico. He maintains a private studio of 30 clarinet students and teaches for TUSD with the OMA project.
