Colin Lambert officially joined the Tucson Symphony Orchestra in 2025 after playing as a substitute since 2022. After moving to Arizona in 2019, he began playing in the Arizona Opera, West Valley Symphony, and Symphony of the Southwest. An Ohio native, he began his career performing in the Kentucky Symphony, Richmond Symphony (IN), Springfield Symphony (OH), and Middletown Symphony Orchestra. While there he maintained a private studio of cello and piano students. He was an adjunct faculty member of the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music Preparatory Department where he taught Suzuki cello lessons, as well as group cello and orchestra classes. He earned his Bachelor of Music degree and won the student soloist competition at Ohio University while studying with Dr. Michael Carrera. He earned his Master of Music degree from Roosevelt University studying with Patrick Jee. While still in school he participated in the Montecito Music Festival, Mimir Music Festival, and the Chamber Music Festival at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Colin has played in masterclasses for János Starker, Desmond Hoebig, Robert deMaine, the Pacifica Quartet, and the Chiara String Quartet.
