Jon Mayhew Anderson

Horn

Dr. Jon Mayhew Anderson serves as Fourth Horn with the Tucson Symphony Orchestra, balancing his time between Arizona and California. He also appears regularly with leading ensembles such as the Santa Rosa Symphony, Symphony San Jose, California Symphony, Opera San Jose, Oakland Symphony, Berkeley Symphony and others. Jon previously held the position of Principal Horn with the United States Air Force Bands, where he performed across the nation in both symphonic and ceremonial settings.

Dr. Anderson earned his Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Miami, a Master of Music in Performance from Boston University, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Davis.
