The Tucson Symphony orchestra is the cornerstone of arts and culture in Tucson. Performing live symphony music and offering music education at the highest level of artistic excellence continues to be the core of the TSO’s mission. Why? Because at the center of every healthy community is a level of civility that exists only when its heart is full and its soul is nurtured. Music restores that sense of wholeness and well-being and Tucson’s essential cultural nourishment radiates from the Tucson Symphony Orchestra.

Since it founding in 1928, the TSO has performed for the residents of Tucson and southern Arizona continuously for seventy-eight years. Its tradition of success is tied not only to its historical relevance but to its response to the demands of today’s market. From its first performance on January 13, 1929 through today the TSO has been the center of Tucson’s cultural heritage.

To continue to serve the residents of Tucson and southern Arizona the TSO must continue to thrive. A significantly increased endowment will ensure its musical excellence and its ability to provide:

  • A mix of traditional and adventurous programming
  • World-renowned guest artists and conductors
  • Music education for every generation
  • Community engagement and performance to rural southern Arizona communities

These activities define the Tucson Symphony Orchestra today and as we visualize it for generations yet to come. Gifts in the form of cash, pledges, appreciated securities, charitable gift annuities and bequest intentions are all gratefully accepted. A variety of naming opportunities are available to recognize charitable gifts. We invite you to join us in securing the future of the Tucson Symphony Orchestra by making a gift to the Endowment for Excellence.
