Mozart & Schubert

• Martin Kuuskmann earned a 2017 Grammy® nomination for his recording of Christopher Theofanidis’ Bassoon Concerto which Theofanidis composed for him.
• Mozart’s first and last symphonies have something in common: in the second movement of his first, the eight-year old makes use of the four note motif that appears in the finale of Symphony No. 41, “Jupiter”.
• Symphony No. 4 was composed when Schubert was 19 years old but was not performed until 1849, more than two decades after he died.
