Give Students the Gift of Music Education this Holiday Season

This holiday season you can give Southern Arizona students the gift of music education and receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit on your state taxes. Last year over 8,500 students from 75 schools joined the Tucson Symphony Orchestra for KinderKonzerts and Young Peoples Concerts. Plus, through TSO’s Music in the Schools program, 33 schools received visits from the TSO String Quintet, Wind Quintet and Brass Quintet throughout the school year. Thanks to the contributions of generous tax credit donors, many schools participated completely free!

There are 30 schools in need of tax credit contributions for their students to participate in the 2024-25 TSO education programs. As of December 3, 33% of schools seeking funding have received tax credit gifts. Just 5 schools are fully funded, 25 are underfunded with 12 schools yet to receive any assistance. The maximum credit allowed is $400 for married filing joint filers and $200 for single, heads of household and married filing separate filers. 100 gifts of $200 (Individual max) or 50 gifts of $400 (Joint filing max) could fully fund ALL schools still in need.

Will you be one of the approximately 100 people needed to fully fund all the local schools in need?
