I love this program just the way it is. Having the programs divided by type of instrument is a great introduction to the Symphony. This program is high interest, high involvement & high learning!
I loved the way you played your instruments and showed good teamwork. I can’t wait to hear the Symphony Orchestra in May. You make me want to be a better violin player.
Music in the Schools (MIS) sends three of the TSO’s chamber ensembles (String Quintet, Wind Quintet, and Brass and Percussion Ensemble) throughout the season to 36 public, private, parochial, and charter schools, reaching approximately 14,000 students and teachers. The 30-minute interactive performances are geared towards 3rd–5th grade students. Each ensemble provides a different approach to the annual theme, introduces their instruments, and explores the structure of the music as a language, and its ability to communicate stories and emotions.
