Cyndi Miller

Cyndi Miller is a retired educator with a career in public education that spanned more than thirty years. During her professional career, she worked with teachers and administrators in a variety of settings to promote and facilitate education reform. She has been active in professional organizations and has presented at both local and national conferences on topics related to school improvement. She taught classes in educational leadership for both the University of Nebraska and Arizona State University. With many years as an educational leader and service on cross functional leadership teams, Cyndi has experience with strategic planning, team building, presentations, and relationship building.

During her tenure as Associate Superintendent in the Dysart Unified School District, Cyndi established a K–8 school for the arts that focuses on teaching in and through the arts. She worked with community leaders to develop a program based on the belief that the arts are conductive to powerful learning and that increasing the presence of the arts in all subjects will increase motivation, relevance, and achievement for students. Cyndi has served as a board member for multiple non-profit organizations including Tucson Symphony Orchestra League, West Valley Symphony, St. Philips in the Hills Altar Guild, AZ Governor’s Task Force on Children and Youth and Junior League of Phoenix. She was a founding board member of Childsplay Theatre. Additionally, she has served her community by actively participating in non-profit and charitable organizations such as Community Food Bank of Southern AZ, Sister Jose’s, Primavera, Heard Museum and various church committees.

Born and raised in the Midwest, Cyndi received degrees from the University of Nebraska. She moved to Phoenix in 1987 and then to Tucson in 2017.
