Kevin Rupprecht of Fidelity Investments reflects on Opening Night with the TSO and looks forward to his own Grand Opening this summer!
At Fidelity Investments, we are committed to making a real difference by engaging with the communities in which we live and work. One of the ways we do that in Tucson is through our support of the Tucson Symphony Orchestra. The TSO is committed to “bring music to the community and the community to the music,” and it does this in many ways, making an impact in the lives of students and Tucson citizens, year after year.
Fidelity has sponsored many TSO concerts, but one of the most memorable for me was the opening night of their 2018/19 season. The entire Fidelity Tucson team attended that show with their significant others and many of our clients. What a great evening it was! Making beautiful music is at the core of what the TSO does so well—but creating lasting memories through that music is something every audience member takes with them at the end of the evening.
As a branch manager at Fidelity, I am looking forward to my own grand opening of sorts: the opening of a brand new Investor Center in Tucson, taking place later this summer. Because of this health crisis, we have had to move many of our client interactions from our current Investor Center to a virtual setting, and through modern technology, I am proud of the fact that we continue to handle the financial service needs of our clients by means of phone, video, and screensharing. Like a good concert at the TSO, we haven’t missed a beat, despite the unprecedented challenges life has thrown at all of us this year.
I know that when the time comes, we will be able to open up the actual doors of our new Investor Center to our clients, in order to meet with them face to face, when it is safe to do so. I know the same holds true for the TSO: at the time they can guarantee the safety of their musicians and patrons, their doors will open and the music will begin anew. And until that point, they continue to offer so much, through their online programs.
As a strong supporter of this organization, Fidelity Investments wishes to commend the Tucson Symphony Orchestra for their efforts to keep the music going through these challenging times. And on a personal note, I look forward to being there for many opening nights in the years to come.
