As 2023 comes to a close we are taking a look back at all the fantastic concerts we have had the pleasure of sharing with you! Starting with Pink Martini and Beethoven’s Ninth all the way back in January to Ravel and Dvořák, and the super fun Just for Kids: Percussion in Space concert just last month.
Pink Martini returned to Tucson in January to dazzle two full houses! Kelley O’Connor was the mezzo-soprano soloist on two stirring performances of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, which also featured the triumphant return of the TSO Chorus. Latin Fire, featuring José Sibaja, Mónica Abrego, and Enrico Lopez-Yañez, presented a passion-filled celebration of Latin American orchestra hits. Michelle Cann made her TSO debut performing the Schumann Piano Concerto. Star Wars: Return of the Jedi in Concert brought together music and Star Wars fans of all ages. Some favorite Star Wars characters made appearances pre-concert. The stage (and screen) are set for two sold out performances of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi in Concert. 5,259 students from across Tucson and southern Arizona enjoyed this year's Young Peoples Concerts, The Melodic Life. The energy and excitement was high at Young Peoples Concerts.
