Dr. Jason Roederer has been a member of the Tucson Symphony Orchestra double bass section since 1995. In addition to his obligations with the Tucson Symphony, Dr. Roederer is also a member of the Arizona Opera Orchestra, Arizona Philharmonic (co-principal), Tucson Pops, and Flagstaff Symphony. Dr. Roederer began double bass studies at age 12 and appeared as a guest soloist with the Mesa Symphony at age 16. Aside from attending numerous festivals, Dr. Roederer has worked with numerous orchestras including; Phoenix Symphony, Memphis Symphony, Sante Fe Pro Musica, Missouri Chamber Orchestra (principal for 10 years). Dr. Roederer has a Masters and Doctorate degree in double bass performance from the University of Arizona is the appointed string bass instructor at Pima Community College, where he also teaches Popular Music in America.
