Zach Warren enjoys an exciting and diverse career as an orchestral flutist, chamber musician, soloist, and teacher.  A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, Zach is now based in Tucson, Arizona, where he has been a member of the Tucson Symphony Orchestra as Second Flute and Piccolo since September 2019, in addition to performing with the Tucson Symphony Wind Quintet.

Previously, Zach was awarded instrumental fellowships with the National Repertory Orchestra, the Brevard Music Center Institute, the Marrowstone Music Festival, and the National Music Festival at Washington College.  Zach has won first prizes in young artist competitions at the Raleigh Area Flute Association, Florida Flute Association, Kentucky Flute Association, and the Flute Society of Washington.

Zach holds a Master of Music Degree in flute performance from The University of Texas at Austin, Butler School of Music.  Prior to that, Zach earned a Bachelor of Music Degree from The University of South Carolina.  His teachers and mentors include Marianne Gedigian, Dr. Jennifer Parker-Harley, and Jennifer Dior.

In addition to performing, Zach is active in labor organizing and serves as Secretary-Treasurer for the Tucson Federation of Musicians, American Federation of Musicians Local 33.
