Cuban-American Artist in Residence Tommy Mesa presents a program of cello-centric music. The program opens with Seven, a solo piece he commissioned from Andrea Casarrubios as a tribute to essential workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Caroline Shaw’s Limestone and Felt (for viola and cello) and Schubert’s beautiful Quintet in C Major, which features two cellos, round out the concert.
