A hybrid wind, string, and piano program kicks off the season! Amy Beach’s Theme and Variations for flute and string quartet draws its theme from one of Beach’s choral works: An Indian Lullaby for women’s chorus. Piazzolla’s Oblivion for Piano Trio, written in the style of a milonga, was originally composed for the Italian film Enrico IV. The TSO Wind Quintet rounds out the program with Paquito d’Rivera’s Aires Tropicales, a lively series of dances.Plan Your Visit
